Recently I watched the 80's episode 'The Red Cat' and discovered a little contradiction made by our little friend.

Remember this scene at the ep's end?

"Animals have feelings too, we can't hurt them or they might turn against us"

Undoubtedly true words, Astro, but do you remember the day before?

 Being a cat lover I can't tolerate such treatments to the species felis.
We all know about Astro's passion for dogs (as shown in the ep 'The Robot Vikings' ;) , but late Chili did deserve a softer hand. Let's see whether you dare doing that thing to Garfield, Tetsuwan. Your man-made skin might be torn to tiny little shreds.

I am a cat lover too ;) However if a feline attacks me, he/she will feel my wrath :wahah: Well... let's say a gentle tap on the nose will suffice as a terrible wrath, provided I am not under heavy attack as Astro was :P
To get back on topic, I would rather say Astro was defending himself. I think Astro was saying it was bad to attack an animal without any provocation, the same it is for a human being after all.

I just watched 1960s #47, Space Crab. The evil ringmaster Hamegg obtains the space crab from aliens, and puts it in his circus, forcing it to fight against army tanks. Atom has pity for the poor thing, but after it escapes and causes damage and death, he pushes it into a volcano. I wish I knew Japanese, I wonder what Atom said just before pushing it in. He sure seemed sad.

Astro did that in defense!
