I don't think the movie will ever be release

We all been hearing this alot and the rumor never stops and keeps going that the movie of Astroboy never was release when they say that it would be release in those years :wacko: man I haven't seen a single trailer for the movie at all
and I think that the movie will never be release which is heartbreaking for the AstroBoy fans and excitement to the Anti-AstroBoy Fans :angry: Sony may be having some problems at making the movie and the Live-Action part really
bothers me, besides it will take them a long time to built an AstroBoy robot and maybe the programing will be a disaster
and the studios itself will have to deal with a flying robot going outside and zooming around the town, it will be just like the movie except its in real life! :wahah: and they will be having trouble stopping it h34r: and the L.A or other brocast news will be saying that theres a A.I robot flying around town and crashing building and Blah blah blah <_<
but japan would have an easier time making the movie and they can be a real help with the project and have the movie be released in CG animation or the live-action. What do you think

I don't know about the whole "Sony-not-releasing-the-latest-movie" thing though. :huh:
That should be one reason why Astro Boy's ratings went down and Kids WB and Cartoonetwork cancelled the show.
Before then, they showed about half the episodes, and then cancelled the show. I never saw the rest until I got the DVD Collection for my B-Day. B)
I'm hoping Sony will release it. I seriously want to see this movie.

I expect there'll be a live action or CGI movie at some point. Movies have been made of Sin City, Daredevil, and other comics which I had never even heard of, and Astroboy is bigger than those. Also, Astroboy is probably the longest running anime (chronologically speaking, not number of episodes) with episode production spanning 40 years. The prospect of a movie can be delayed but in this case I seriously doubt it will die out.

As for the recent animated movie, it's a Japanese production and I doubt it'll get dubbed. Only the biggest anime series get English dubbed movie releases (Dragonball Z, Pokemon, etc) and Astroboy simply hasn't had enough exposure in the USA. There's not a strong enough merchandise tie-in to make it worth it for them (and "Mighty Atom"? ... don't mention the war! ). Hopefully it'll get fansubbed.
