Looking at the 2003 Astro boy, what music do you think he'd listen too?

I think he and Reno would be SEAL groopies. Astro would strap an MP3 to his arm, turn up SEAL in stereo and play and fly through Metro City. He's light hearted to be an easy music lover.

I think he would be listening to a Softrock,Unclassifiable,or any
song, but I think he rather stick with an Japanese electronic wave song becides :D he is japanese isn't he

Ps: I think the best song will be speed of sound by coldplay :D

I think little kids ought to listen to the goofy kid songs of my youth, such as "Me & my teddy bear," "Wee Willie Winkie," etc.

Thinking of the Space Academy episode, I thought maybe he'd be inclined to listen to some kind of Spice Girls group... Don't kill me for this! :P

I wonder how robots would be able to appreciate music though.

Probably the same way they would care for other robots or humans ;) A robot with kokoro should be able to appreciate music :P
By the way, how about classical music? Wouldn't Astro prefer soft tones instead of today's hard tones? :P Yeah, ok... "soft" and "hard" are highly subjective

I was thinking of people with Cochlear implant, for example. I thought they couldn't enjoy music, but I just checked and apparently some of them can, so maybe a robot with an artificial hearing system could too.

I bet Astro would have better memories of Carmen than In the Hall of the Mountain King! ;)

Speaking of the latter, *everytime* I watch The Robot Vikings, this music sticks in my head.

There was a 4 part science special about the human face (hosted by John Cleese) that aired a few years ago. 1 part examined the topic of what makes some faces attractive and others repulsive. They showed that attractive faces have certain geometrical patterns.

I also remember seeing another program about beauty that showed that the ratio of 1.1618 (Greek letter Phi):1 ( http://goldennumber.net )was itself attractive to humans. It goes like this:

Fingers: first segment (from hand) has the relationship to the next segment of 1.16:1. That next or middle segment likewise has that relationship to the finger tip of 1.1618:1. Likewise the upper arm to the lower arm, the thighto the calf, etc. A human figure with those proportions would be perceived as attractive. http://goldennumber.net/beauty.htm

It seems logical that if humans perceive beauty in the visual realm based upon such things as this, that they would likewise perceive it in the realm of music based upon the same criteria. :D In fact, here is the URL from the above site's music page. B)

 I just had a weird thought. Seeing Astro wearing cowboy boots and hat singing Okie From Muskogee by Merle Haggard or Friends In Low Places by Garth Brooks. :P

Every time I hear Carmen, I think of The Robot Vikings. Aquarium reminds me of The Monster of Clarken (or at least the golden coral), and the lion piece from the same suite reminds me of The Transformation Robot.
