hello everyone,
i'm Joe. i never seen astro-boy the old and new one. i saw in this site astroboy has a dog named jump who was toby's dog befroe he died.i was wounding if jump is just shown in the old epsiodes and Pero the cyborg dog is feature in the new anime series.because i don't see anything on him.i like to learn more about him.thank you for your time.

Hi and welcome to the forum! I don't know who Pero is, to be honest. But then I'm not an expert when it comes to the 2003 series. Jump was only in the 1980 series.

You will need to refer to manga to find Pero. He was Higeoyaji's dog until he was stolen & his brain was used in #44 of the Hot Dog Corps. Yes, Pero is the canine that came before All Purpose Cultural Catgirl Nuku Nuku. Gimme a few minutes to look up the volume.

I do not believe this one was translated into English.

There was go mention of Pero (or Jump) in the new series. ...At least, not in the english version.

It would have been cool if Astro had a dog (or some pet) in the new series...
