What are some of the collectable books, comics and "flat" trinkets you've collected over the years?

Here's a Patch I bought in 1988 in Machida Japan.


A Manga Biography of Osamu Tezuka published in 1990.


The Ken Stacy cover of the 1st NOW comics Astroboy.


One of the GOLD KEY Astro Boy comics.


The memorial insert edition of the February edition of NEWTYPE Japan remembering Tezuka's death on February 9th 1989.

I find this patch interesting in that it uses the 2nd grade (late style, '80s anime, vol. 23 manga) version of Atom, while also using the 1952 date. Oh well, I guess since it was bought during the '80s, it would naturally use the style that was current at that time.

As far as flat things go, I have all 23 volumes of manga,, the "Let's draw manga: Astroboy," & "Tezuka School of Animation Vol 1."



If you have seen the manga version of Gademu (the centipede robot), is it drawn the same way in the Gold Key comic?

Unfortunately collecting became an obsession with me. I spent way too much money on it. It was worse than rc racing.

Yes, it must be expensive. I had very little Astro stuff and I threw away all of it many years ago! The DVDs are basically all I have now. But it's the most precious Astro stuff I could ever have! Now that I think of it, everything I collect are DVD recorded from TV (or VHS tapes before).
