I am translating this page from Defrag's web site:
http://astroboy.cjb.cc/episodesmovies.php
The title is "Movies and Specials".

Inside this paragraph:

Code: Select all

Marine Express (1979)

A 91 minute anime special featuring all of Tezuka's major characters. Available on DVD but not in English, however a fansub exists.

What means of fansub, please?
Is it mean "Subs maked by Fan"?

This is what I have always assumed.

Yup, that's what it means. Fans translate the movie and make subtitles for it. You do have to watch out though. Some people say it's a "fansub" but when the subtitles are read, it looks as if someone just ran it though a translation program instead of a real human translation team.
