Cd Japan & Yes Asia sell these for under $25. Each one has 3 episodes, but is entirely in Japanese. The ones of most interest should be those whose episodes were not included in the NBC dub.

"Zoku Robot Hen"

1. episode 179 [The Blue Knight #1 (E::cry ]
2. episode 180 [The Blue Knight #2 (E::cry ]
3. episode 126 [ Roboids (E::cry ]

I would rate this one as most desirable for English speakers, because none of these episodes were included in the NBC version. Edit: added this 80/28/07: The Blue Knight is the central supporting character in the 2003 series, and I would think that most Atom fans would want this disc. Roboids is also a great story.


"Robot-hen"

1. episode 82 "Robot kyougikai no maki" [The Robot Olympics (E: 073, Robot Olympics)]
2. episode 116 "Shijou saidai no robot no maki (part 1)" [Greatest Robot #1 (E::cry ]
3. episode 117 "Shijou saidai no robot no maki (part 2)" [Greatest Robot #2 (E::cry ]

This one has only 2 episodes that were not on the NBC version, but they are highly desirable. Edit: added this 80/28/07: Greatest robot is probably the single best-loved story of all. With Naoki Urasawa's recasting of this story as a mystery, this one has 5 versions.


"Meisaku Hen"

1. episode 9 [Black Looks (E:13, The Deep Freeze]
2. episode 16 [White Planet (E: 008, Silver Comet)]
3. episode 148 [Robio & Robiet (E: :cry ]

Only one that was excluded from NBC collection.
The other three discs have episodes that were included on the NBC version.

Welcome to the forum, Hikari Tail. Do you have the manga? I find thathaving read the manga versions of those stories (those that have manga versions) makes it much easier to understand the Japanese-language anime.
