In the manga version, this was our hero's second adventure. However, it was actually the second half of his first adventure.

In the Dark Horse manga (vol. 15) the story is one, rather than two; but the TOW lists two separate titles:

TOW: Astro Boy's Parents

TOW: Gaseous Beings

However, in the B & W anime, Atom receives his parents in
002 Frankenstein (E: 002 Colosso).

This little girl makes her second appearance in the B&W anime. In which episode was her first?

As in the manga, the hero's work is misunderstood. Yes, he kept the gas people from possessing the humans, but nobody but he knew about it. Thus, he is labelled a criminal.
