In the manga, Atom tosses Roberto (Rock) into the water, to save him from "poison gas" (Atom manga, vol. 17, p. 92). However, it appears that the girl belives she will drown, rather than be captured; for she tips herself off the ledge.

A sign on this tower reads "ELECTRO-MAG DISSOLVER TOWER" (Atom manga, vol. 17, p. 114).

There are more than a few differences, though:

  1. In the Manga & live-action versions, Atom dresses as a nurse to catch the ZZZ gang
  2. In the live-action version, Atom is framed, chained, & tossed in jail
  3. live-action version, the President's child is a girl (as though you did not know)
  4. live-action version, the President's brother (ZZZ) is not an identical twin
  5. Higeoyaji's encounter with the primitive gas is absent from the live-action version

The low one is kinda creepy! It looks like Astro falling into the infinitely deep abyss of darkness. I'n serious: when I see this kind of images, my body starts to shiver: falling into... Nothing... Forever...

The upper body looks like a He-Man (I know there wern't He-men then) and the lower body looks like an Academy Award. These live-action series were realased on 1959, isn't it?
