Now a few years ago there were 6 AstroBoy Manga volumes released here for the first time, ( and it was from the Dark Horse version )
and Acording to Osamu Tezuka in Volume 6 he wrote a sequal to the 1960 Anime version ( where Astro Boy leads a rocket to the Sun ) ,
and hopefully i don`t spoil things to you but in volume 6 in the end Astro Boy dies in Vietnam under water,
so now on the internet i saw that Volume 6 of the DarkHorse Manga had the same storyline , but the Darkhorse goes on after volume 6 ( tilll 25 or something? )
so did DarkHorse made a mistake and released the ending very early ?
or was Astro found in the water in vietnam again in the future?

He's found in 1993, but then dies for a second time (after a very sad story) due to his energy running out again. Then, ten years later, Dr. Tenma son Tobio dies and a crazed Tenma wants to make a robot version of him. When it is finished, however, it can't get alive, because there's another Astro existing (the one which is "dead") : temporal paradox !!! . Then a friend of the "original" Astro puts a bomb in his motionless body and "KA-BOOOOM!", the temporal paradox is over and Astro is re-born. Volumes 7 and 8 continue this storyline: Astro fights against racists, is sold to the Robot Circus, meets his parents, works for the CIA, fights aliens, gives an impulse to the Robotic Law and many more things. I insist: This storyline isn't over until volume 8!

It's somewhat topical, but... Amazon. It's the best shop you can find on the net.
Standaard Uitgeverij ------- (put your negative verb here). What a shame for them and a pity for all Dutch fans! I know what is it like because in my country many good collections got cancelled, too (now it's different, but if we talk about 10 years ago...).

they did release like all the DBZ volumes all here >_>
Sailor Moon was canceld on Tv ( no wonder i mean who wacthes a Anime around 7 o clock in weekend and workdays? )
now the Dutch Company has led me believe volume 6 was the ending for Astro Boy for more then 4 years,
and `AniWay` ( Anime Magezine in Holland ) labeld Astro boy as a bit borning old fasion but Simple Si Fi storyline
no offence Astro boy is so much more like that and Simple? what the Hell?
but lucky i found a Dutch Manga website who sells a few Manga titles such as Astro Boy Vol 7 for cheap Number

The stories in vol 6-7, & the first part of 8, were first published in a newspaper. The bulk of the stories, however, were published in Shonen Jump (Boys' magazine), & numbered about 60-70. There were also a few in other publications, such as 1st & 2nd grade readers. However, there was no relationship between the stories in different publications; thus, Atom's origin in manga is told no fewer than thrice:
- Ambasador Atom
- the 1st story in vol 1
- the chronicles (vol. 6-7,8)
The rebirth is covered in vol 22.

See this is where I get confused XD.
I picked up volume 22 while on holiday and noted that Astro actually had several "endings" and so on. Glad to see the whole flying into the sun thing wasnt the end of Astro after all. Though boy, the last story in 22 is dark.

Without looking at the data, I think those alternate endings were not published in Shonen, but in other things.
