:) I just read it.
What a great review! It stands very high in showing details similar or different to the manga and anime version. Also very interesting to read are the episode's background informations, i.e. the cross-references to other racing series, as well as to other 80's episodes using similar themes concerning certain humans' unawareness about their relatives being robots.
You really arranged the review very clearly, emphasized by visual character comparisons between the manga, 60's & 80's anime.
 Funny is the way you mentioned the respective characters' change of cast for each version of that episode, thus making them appear as if they were actors in real life that are depending on their agents' decisions for whether to get a preferred role or not. It must be very tough being a film agent in either Skunk's or Lamp's service! :p

Although I have yet to read the manga version of 'The White Planet', I can comprehend the fact about the complicacy of showing that many details around the story as they are provided in the 80's anime version. It might cause problems in the flow of reading when the story consistently gets interrupted by too many geographical informations put in. Some details seem to have a greater impact at the viewer's eyes by rather showing them in animation than to have them featured in mangas as well. Perhaps, 'less is more' might be the phrase counting for manga creation?

Btw:

 That picture touches me at a very special place in my heart. It's beautiful.

I agree with Strange Wings, I found it very interesting for basically the same reasons he mentioned. Once again, nice job! :D

I just now was watching my tape of Adult Swim from last night, & noticed the way the WP's canopy opened. Now it seems all the more that this car inspired the Seahorse guys in the design of the Mach 5.

But why does the ELV have Rommel say that the Banded Scorpion is his car, when it is obvious that the Black whatchamacallit is his.
