Is anybody else aware that the original 1980's series of Astroboy airs tomorrow (Monday) at 8pm on Boomerang? However, I'm not sure if this would be elsewhere (I live in Australia), but Boomerang have been playing commercials for it's return all day.
Can't wait!

Finally after all these years, Astro is back! Yay for the spiky haired, red booted one!

Click on Mon 14th Jan, then look under Boomerang and there it is. The episode says **MISSING** but I presume it would be The Birth of Astroboy.

I know I won't be able to watch it (and anyway, I have it on DVD) but what kind of channel is Boomerang?

It is cartoon network's older cartoons.

Cartoons from childhood, some from the 1960s, others from later decades.

A friend told me they're also playing it on Cartoon Network during Adult Swim.
I wouldn't know, myself.

It might only be airing in Australia, I live in New England and it doesn't list anything about it in my tv guide...

I have both 2003 & 1983 on box set so it really doesn't affect me. Thus, I do not keep up with them getting or not getting aired on TV.
So I'm useless this time. Sry.

Why do these channels like Boomerang, Toon Disney and Nick Toons keep on showing reruns of shows, when there are series like Astroboy from the 80's and 2003's series that could be shown? I am sure that there are more Astroboy's fans out there than those networks know about. I found some last night that would watch the series. Thanks, your friend, praying you the very best, Toni.
PS- From what i read at another web site, Astroboy was popular in the afternoon, back in the mid 60's, despite going up against shows like Lucy.
