Actually he did, at a World's Fair in the 60's. I heard that Disney remarked that he would have loved to come up with something as popular as Astro Boy.

I'm pretty sure he met George Lucas too. There's a picture of him looking at a miniature set for Return of the Jedi.
I know that Stanley Kubrick wanted Tezuka to be the art director on 2001: A Space Odyssey, but he couldn't do it. It would not surprise me at all if they did end up meeting eachother face to face before or after that.

Thanks, love the idea that Walt Disney did want to come up with a character as popular as Astroboy, wonder why they did not make the Astroboy movie, instead of Underdog. Like Underdog but he is not as good as Astroboy.
