The 03 Japanese series? I just got the box set of season 1 yesterday. Although they totally screwed up the music dubs - instead of True Blue for the opening credits it was the closing theme of the American version, and instead of Boy's Heart for the closing credits it was the opening theme of the American version - and although some of the subtitles were kind of off, I thought that the Japanese series was WAY better than the American series. It's so emotional, and captures Atom for who he really is - a sweet, loving and caring robot.
BTW, has anybody read Growing Pains on fanfiction.net? It's one of the best Astro stories I've EVER read.

i just read the fanfiction and loved it! its indeed great and i love how the writer poytrayed the characters.

The 2003 anime is, by far, the greatest of all the versions of Astro Boy!!
There's simply no two ways around it.

Someone had the box set for sale on ebay so I bought it from there. Money well spent, I'd say.
Have you seen the Atlas eps from the Japanese series, Daichi?

Was it fansubbed? How good is it? Any chance you have any programs that can turn them into files you can upoad to veoh.com or something?

Thanks Innocent_ Eyes, love the story "Growing Pains", wish Atlas had told Astroboy after their walk with Tenma, "i knew you would start to think like me". Of course Astroboy would say- "that is the last thing i need to be is thinking like you Atlas". Atlas would say-" keep dreaming. you being like me would be an improvement". About then they would have a cute boy wrestling match, love to see that. hugs
