Just a thought...

Just wondering, why does Atom have black hair, but Tobio has brown/reddish hair? Did Tenma intentionally create Atom with black hair as some form of relation to himself? And was this topic already discussed at some point? :tenma: :astro:

Ok, we have a good question here. Do someone have a good answer? :D

I was thinking that Astro with Tobio's hair color simply seems wrong, but if he had had this color from the beginning, maybe it wouldn't seems wrong

That would be a good case of Photoshoping (or Gimping, or MSPainting! :p ).

I never noticed that Tobio's hair wasn't black.

Glad Astroboy became a hero despite Tenma not being the right role model. Astroboy found his destiny with new friends.

Tobio and Atomu have different hair, but different faces also.
He was made in Tobio's image, and yet he does not appear exactly the same.

I believe this is because Tenma created Atomu to be superior to humans.
He's not exactly the same as Tobio, so perhaps his new appearance is to reflect that?
You know, not only is his hair black, but it's not soft and flowing like human hair, even though several robots who appear later, like Denkou and Klaus, have soft, humanlike hair. Instead, it's sharp, and implied to be made of metal.

But that's just a theory, of course.

Your theory sounds about right Daichi, thanks and hugs.

This is a bit strange. But, then again, it is pretty strange how no matter what way you look at Astro's hair, it's always two spikes. :D

It'd be cool if they added that effect to an Astro model viewer. The hair would rotate with the camera. XD

Tezuka discusses that in "The Third magician" in vol. 2, pages 104-105.
