Hello all,Heres an item that I have and I'm betting you've never seen another one.Its an original 1964 Astroboy halloween mask.It even has the original NTV
(Nippon Television?) decal on it.I acquired it at a swap meet a number of years ago and have searched on line trying to find info on it ever since. One reason that I'm sure its quite rare is the fact that it is very fragile. Its molded from very thin plastic and would disintegrate easily.I hope my links work, here goes.Tim.

I remember those Ben Cooper costumes! :hyo:

They had pictures of the characters on the chests/stomachs, rather than the emblems such as Superman's 'S.' I still love them, kids are so much cuter in goofy costumes than serious ones.

I found a page with an American version, top row 2nd from left:

OMG I always HATED those kinds of costumes. Plastic bags with the character's face and that qualifies as a costume? and that Astro Boy it absolutly horrible it looks nothing like him LOL

Agree would love authentic- looking costume of Astroboy or Uran. Read about Astroboy movie made years ago and the writer said the costume for the boy was - child cruelty.

Greetings to you all. :) This is my first posting on this site and I have something interesting to show. It is something that you might have not seen before....or, at least, in quite a long while. It is a 1964 U.S. Ben Cooper Astro Boy Halloween costume still in the box. The mask is in excellent shape but the cloth costume, on which the date of 1964 is imprinted on, does have slight staining...most likely from age. I can not seem to find any information on it anywhere online or off. I am just curious as to how RARE it is or if anybody else has seen one before. Can anybody in this forum help me out?
