I was not sure if a topic has/ever was made regarding this, but I have a question in regards to the Canadian dub of Astro Boy. I would love to watch an episode but I doubt there is any online. So I came to these forums in some hope that one of you brave souls may have what I am seeking.

Just a young man trying to relive some childhood memories, any help would be awesome.

So far no episodes have come to light, but as soon as any do you can be sure they'll be made known.

Would you happen to know who broadcast it in Canada and who has the rights to it now? Maybe it's time we made another effort to dig it up. Even a few names of the voice actors would be a start (assuming they were in the end credits).

The French Dub of the show was shown on Radio-Canada, while the full English Dub would be found on Global stations and a few others (ASN, I do believe some CTV stations carried the show as well) it was in syndication but I recall it being mostly on CTV and Global Stations in Canada.

Welcome to the forum! Not too long ago, I too was looking for the Canadian dub, but I only managed to find a list of dub names. I know that one of our members has uploaded most of the French dub (here), but that's the closest yet.

All I know about production was that it was a Nelvana-CBC thing. And as well, my mother works at Global, Saskatchewan station, and says that Global's main headquarters may still have master reels of the Canadian episodes.

Jump = Blip
Dr. Boyton = Dr. Balfus
Dr. Elefun = Professor Peabody
Daddy Walrus = Max McNugget
Lillian = Selena
Skunk = Slippery
Bruton = Commonturk (?!)
Fireball = Comet
Garon = Pluto
Zeus = Apollo

Yeah, those be the names I remember from the dub.

I wanted to grab it for my nephew seeing as I have the newer boxsets from Manga, but my older brother and I were really hoping for the old Canadian dub. Good to know other Astro-nerds such as myself exist.
