Amoung Astro's school-buddies in the 80's series is a girl named Mindy. You know, the girl with the poofy pigtails. I was just wondering what her name was in the original Japanese version?
Damn, I ask a lot of questions.

I believe she was called Midori, originally.

Before there was Sailor Moon, or Azumanga Daioh, there was... MINDY!!!
EDIT: On the topic of Japanese names, maybe we should work on a list or something... anyone know the name of Kathy, the Circus girl?

Kathy is 'Kathy,' although I am not sure of the correct Romaji spelling. BTW, Midori is indeed the name of the cute pigtail girl; no, not she-Ranma, that is an entirely different story.

Makes sense -- they were in the USA at the time

Uh... what? Sorry, my Astro Boy knowledge is kinda restricted to the 80's version ^_^;

I had a quick listen to the Japanese auido version, and Kathy sounds like Kashi (there's no th sound in Japanese). Mindy's name does sound like Midori or Midori-chan.

Hmm, I thought that was just a speech defect. :lol:
