Could Swine-Flu be hurting Astro Boy?

I had an interesting thought. I imagine we all know about the Swine-Flu/H1N1 virus and it made me think, since it's mostly children that are most in danger of the virus, is it possible people just don't want to risk bringing their kids out to the movies these days and are just waiting until they can have the movie delivered to them from Netflicks?
Just a thought.

It could be, but then it won't be the only movie that would suffer from it.

Phew, at first I thought you meant that the flu could possibly affect our little robot himself. I know we have threads such as "what if Astro was for real" but I thought it was going a little too far!

LOL Yeah. But I figured you know, the other movies that are working right now are all horror movies that mostly adults go to. So not only is it Halloween (horror movie season) but parents don't want to take their kids out, scared of Swine Flu. The other movies don't have to worry about that because they're not trying to appeal to kids and families.

Yes....
Let's face it,school is a "biohazard zone" and school kids are a Biohazard.
There is of course that scene in Resident Evil Apocalypse where the fate of the school in the "Incident at Racoon City" is revealed.
But imagine High Autumn in the midwest....
Wet, damp autumn. Millions of dirty ignorant school kids standing in the rain and damp air breathing on one another waiting to enter heated theaters to see "This is it!!!"
Could there be a better conduit for spreading a virus?
So the Astro Audience is fewer in number, better educated, better motivated.
But fewer. The Michael Jackson audience is vast. There will be deaths.
So I'm not complainingout the size of the Astroboy audience. The Robot Fellini just made a masterpiece. But those that are fixated on the Michael Jackson cult are in trouble. And will shortly be in tribulation because they went to that other movie.

I heard that despite the president declaring a medical emergency because of this virus, it has claimed far fewer victims than other strains of influenza.

Yes but why expose the risk just to make money? Why not wait to exploit the masses?
Ahh there's no time to wait to get in on the empathy for MJ wagon...
