My fondest memory? Running home from kindergarden in Mattapan Massachusetts in 1970, back then it seemed safer for kids to do that than it is now, to get home in time for the afternoon WLVI Channel 56 kids fest.

Banana Splits was first

Then Kimba

Then Flintstones

Then Astro Boy

Then Major Mudd

I had to beg for a kitty...had to be a white kitty...named her Kimba lol!

Sadly old 56 didn't transition into the modern age, the station closed down a few years ago.

Here's a throwback in time, a WLVI 56 Commercial run with Battle of the Planets!

Wow!

I was born in 80, so I missed out on a lot of these. I vaguely remember Banana Splits and of course Flinstones (which was okay but never my favorite), but sadly never saw Kimba, Astro Boy (at that young age - would have *loved* it), or Major Mudd (never even heard of that one).

I grew up with The Jetsons and watched a lot of things like Voltron, the Thundercats and of course Looney Toones.

Then later got into science fiction (especially Star Trek the Next Generation and later DS9).

I'm pretty sure I'd quite like Kimba even though I've never seen any of it, especially since it is Tezuka.
