"Astroboy" by the Buggles -- anybody else know/love this ?

The Buggles album "The Age of Plastic" featured the infamous "Video killed the Radio Star" (the video that launched MTV) but also contained a bunch of other great stuff including "Astroboy (and the proles on parade)"

I was hoping to find out what inspired them to write this, but haven't had luck -- and couldn't find anything on this forum . . . so.... anyone out there have any info on this topic?
