Yeah -- just add those SPIKES!!! I think if I were friends with Astro, that would be my nickname for him -- Spikes.

But it's fascinating to read how the total AI "package" is made up of different logical components -- and they all work together to produce a human response. I'll bet our brains actually work in much the same way (via our senses).

OMG! Your right! Tenma is yellow. Maybe whoever colored that icon didn't have the right color or something.

This gizmag article shows how a robot designed to work with the military needs to have not only its own body language, but be able to interpret human body language.

I just created a thread in the General area about this very thing.

I did not see any tongue in its mouth, or lower eyelids for it to tug down, so how can it have human-like expressions w/out these?

Thanks for showing that, but someone already posted that somewhere in the Astro Boy forum. It looks so neat!

Who tugs down their lower eyelids, anyway? Seems painful... You only see it in anime, though (and I saw it in a manga once), so I guess it's a Japanese thing. Those guys are so strange. Wonderful, but strange.

Anyways, too bad I can't watch that video on this computer. I didn't know it was supposed to be a she, though.

Hope this means ASTRO BOY is much closer then we think
