Fear them! FEAR THEM!

I know it's hard to adapt a 3d character on a computer into a toy...
but they could've have TRIED to make it look like Astro. This just looks like a crazed cosplayer.

And this guy too.

Is it me or does one have a nosebleed? o_O;

The man to take this photo vanished soon after and has not been seen since.

They would all be based of the slightly weirder-than-usual looking version of Astro from the movie I think.

YOU SCARE ME WEIRD TOYS!!!

Did anyone know that they had McDonalds toys made for the Astro Boy movie? I DIDN'T! Apparently they did. I found out recently when I had my birthday party, my little cousin Mark gave me his McDonald's Astro Boy figure (The one pictured above) as a present (he's only like 5, and doesn't know how to spend money quite yet). He told his Mom, aka my Aunt Debbie, that I should have it, because, as Mark said, I'm Astro Boy's most biggest fan. I actaully thought that figure was pretty neat for a McDonalds kiddie meal toy. I like how half of him is shown see through, but I guess it's creepy for some people.

Yeah, I sort of heard about the Astro Boy Happy meal. I think they even made an ad of him flying around a McDonalds. I love shameless advertising :ninja:

EDIT: In fact I just found the ad http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqTIfj8Dmb4

I got the other two Astro Boy Toys!! :-)

Here are my toys -- they are VERY POPULAR at my desk at work.

"Flying" Astro gets a regular workout zipping off my desk. Everyone agrees his "flames" should light up, though.

And Arm Cannon Astro is my BODYGUARD!! People get pesky or tick me off and I point Astro at them and BOOM! they get hit with his anti-proton cannon flame, and I feel LOTS better!! :p

They ran out before I could get the see-through Astro -- but I like the special actions these guys can perform.

Here's a photo from my desk -- Flying Astro is propped up against "Spike" my baby cactus (those are wheels on his tummy and legs so you can "wind him up" and make him "fly"). Arm Cannon Astro has a great bod for a little kid! :w00t: :

Some of those other figures are downright CREEPY but I do love my McDonalds Astros very much!

The toys never came out over here at McDonalds, ;_; really sucked.

If i ever get tempted i might buy them on ebay, you should try it April if chu want that see-through one. (Firing it at people lol)

And I don't hate it Anime girl, I just wondered why they couldn't do the full model of him x3

I understand. And AprilSeven, those are cool Astro Boy figures you have. I wish I had them too, but at the time when McDonalds had them, my parents split up, and me Mom, Sis and Jayden moved to a new house, and we didn't have much money, so we didn't get allowence, no fast food, nothing! I was so ticked! In fact, when I went to see the Astro Boy movie with my friends, that was the first time I left the house, other than school, in a while.

omg. I NEED those figures... I can't explain how much i need them. :O
(I like collecting silly looking figures... ask Derpy Edward Carnby figure...)

Actually reminds me of a REALLY disturbing figure i found while browsing Ebay for Astro goodies. I'm pretty sure it was a bootleg, but it looks so... dumb that i really really wished i had brought it since i havn't seen it again. XD

So I'm guessing you're a big MS3K fan, too?

But seriously, some of those toys look seriously demented
