It's a 'magazine' for the iPhone or iPod touch that lets you download Tezuka manga each week. There are 40+ issues at the moment. I'd love to get it myself, but I've only got an old iPod nanno
So, anyone subscribed to it? What's it like?

The only words from this thread I saw at first were
Anyone see the new Tezuka ipod... and I
immediately jumped to the conclusion it was a Tezuka ipod commercial. XDXDXD I could just picture all the characters dancing around wearing ipods, lol. Which would be AMAZING, but, moving on.
I have an ipod touch.

Might have to look into this

I have a few issues of it. It is about 20 to 30 pages of a story from 4 mangas (don't know if this is the right plural) made by Tezuka each magazine. For example issue 5 has parts from Astro Boy, Adolf, Dororo, and Black Jack when issue 6 has Astro Boy, Buddha, Dororo, and Black Jack.
Issue 1 is free for anyone that want to try it.

I have the entire "Greatest Robot on Earth" story on there, so yes.
It's a pretty good app, you should get it as soon as you get an iPhone (or iPod Touch, which I have).

Hey Bender!! Welcome to the Forum!! Look, it's your FIRST POST!!
Can you download the images from the app to the computer to print out, if so desired? I was tempted to get it, but I think it's about $1/week -- right? And it's not just Astro, but segments of a number of different manga by Tezuka?

I just tried the .iso to .zip file format method to try and get the images out of the app but there was no manga in it. You get more issues in app so it is saved directly to the iPhone/iTouch. It is not possible to extract the images to my knowledge.

You can try to send me a copy, I'll try to find resources in it. However, I expect they will have obfuscated them in some way.

I figured it might be restricted to the Iphone/Ipod -- I'd rather purchase the actual, complete volumes of what I want to read...and have it permanently available as hard copy.

Yeah, but it's useful for those who have very limited shelf-space
