Not Astro Boy-related, but since you said "or other anime"...

I once had a weird dream where a bunch of these video game characters (mostly from Ace Attorney, I think) were all standing around in this big room and talking about something. The scene then switches to this priest and nun who discuss that they're going to kill everyone for no given reason. Back in the room, the priest and nun suddenly burst out with these swords and freakish grins on their faces and goes after everyone.

Godot from Ace Attorney then pulls out a sword from out of nowhere and it turns into this one big sword fight. I also recall Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece screaming like a little girl and running around in a big circle.

Then I apparently came out of nowhere, in a wedding dress, and joined the fight. It ended there.

I tend to have very strange dreams.

I had a dream about a year ago that wasn't necessarily Astro Boy-related, but Tezuka was certainly involved.

I was reading a volume of Black Jack in the Lanark County Public Library (an actual place in Ontario, where my late grandparents on my mother's side used to live), when someone came up to me and asked what I was reading. I look up, and it's Osamu Tezuka. I was nervous, but I told him what it was. While he was surprised it had an English print, I told him that I'd also bought Swallowing the Earth (which I just did at the time in real life) and enjoyed it, and he was really impressed.

He told me he was happy that more people in North America were discovering his other works, aside from the kid-friendly things most people associated with him for a while, this being Astro Boy and Kimba. He suddenly had to leave, but he wished me well in my future cartooning.

And then I woke up.

A friend of mine applauds me for being the one person she knows who's met Tezuka in person.

You know, I was thinking about starting a thread like this ages ago.

The amount of Astro dreams I have is way over the bar! When I have only just joined this forum, I had 'em every night, and even now they still often appear

Fauna's dream is epic win.

I'm willing to believe that was an actual message from Tezuka's spirit.

I made a search on the forum because I knew I had posted about some of my dreams.

I noticed a long time ago that my dreams are often related to something I thought of right before falling asleep. When I got the Astro Boy DVDs for the first time, for some time I used to watch an episode before going to sleep. As a result, at that time, I had several Astro Boy dreams.

I posted this in May 2005. It must have been my first one as an adult because I was very surprised. Before that, I remembered one that seemed to last just a few seconds before waking up when I was a child.

I had this crazy, crazy, crazy dream last night that was very long... Why am I posting this? That was a wild scenario involving Bruton and Astro trying to hide from him for days! Oh well, my scenario still made more sense than the French version of those 80s episodes! :P (if you don't know, they are trying to make us believe that Bora is an instantly modified Bruton... ugh! ).

In August 2005, I posted this:

Hmmmm, I had another Astro dream too three nights ago! Atlas (1980) was in it, he was searching for Astro to attack him, I even think Livian was there too! Eventually a bomb exploded in the Ministry of Science, whose first floor looked more like a shopping center...

Interestingly, in one of my previous Astro dream, it was Bruton who was trying to find Astro everywhere... Looks like the same pattern repeats itself, only with different characters. :D

Finally, in October 2005, I also had this dream:

I had a dream maybe a week ago in which I was Astro and Molnar was the bad guy! He was hunting me (Astro); I would dig into the ground the way Astro often does, but Molnar would always find me anyway.

It wasn't just my Astro Boy dreams that followed that hide and seek pattern. I've never had exactly the same dream twice, but I used to have two patterns that would always come back, one of them being this one. I had never realized that and when I finally did, those dream patterns stopped. I don't miss them! :D

A different dream from August 2005:

"Astro Forever" wrote:I had another Astroboy dream too yesterday. I was in my living room watching an 1980 episode on DVD, or should I say a 1980 style episode because it was a nonexistent one! :wahah:

The most funny thing is that just like in real life, I kept mixing the remote control buttons, so I never got to the end, but I ended up playing, rewinding and fast-forwarding a lot, and I was amazed when I woke up and realized that it was pretty much the same scenes that I could see when I was watching and rewatching the DVD in whatever order it was (in other words, my dream was quite consistent within itself).

My memory is too fuzzy to remember much about the episode, but it was captivating! It's too bad I never got to the end! :( I remember there was a castle and Uran was in it, it was night and rainy at one point and... that's it.

I think I also had another Astroboy dream a few days ago, and for the first time, I wasn't Astro himself. I can tell you from my previous dreams, being Astro is very stressful and very exhausting! I guess he has nerves of steel! :p

Finally, around the time I had fun in this thread, I posted in it that once I dreamt I was searching for mistakes.

I'm glad I posted about these dreams on the forum, otherwise I would have totally forgotten about them.
