notice how in this episode zoran/uran was making cake and made a BIG mess as little kids do

but she tasted the cake while she was making it didnt she

and in another episode (time hunters) she was handed a bowl of food and said she didnt need to eat since she was a robot.

also in teh manga in the chapter "a cute sister" astro was shown uran/zoran as to be told she was now hes sister and she was being silly and playing all over the minestry of sceince and then she started to play with a pan. (yes the type you cook with) -and astro told her off once more. however he showed her how the item was meant to be used and he started to fry an egg. and with that uran/zoran said thats funny; im a robo and i dont need all of that so why did she taste the cake mixture? i find this odd.

She has a tester is her mouth that studies the chemical composition of the cake batter, and reads how homogenous the mixture is.

Seriously, this is a topic that is debated with Astro, also.

It was censored. In the Japanese dub Uran is capable of tasting food, when she does she glows and releases bubbles as energy. Sort of like what Astro does in episode 1.
It happened in the episode where they're all on the ship and the volcano errupted

What exactly did Astro do? I've watched episode 1 with subs and didn't notice anything of the like.

After he absorbs that robot's energy (forgot its name) Astro releases over the city like a sparkling star. x3
It's a little how Uran does when she tries a piece of chocolate, except the energy bubble thing.

Oh, that. Yeah I remember that.
They cut that out from the dub, huh? Jeez at this rate, I'm willing to bet that some of the dubbed episodes are ridiculously short as a result of the cuts.

I think the Japanese is 25 minutes while the English 20 minutes.
Remove the intro and ending scenes, I think about 1 or so minutes is cut, times 50 episodes...that's a lot o_o

Yep the ending song was A Boy's Heart. In fact, there's actualy two introductions and three ending themes to the Japanese dub o.o
Introduction 1 True BlueIntroduction 2 Now or NeverEnding Theme A Boy's Heart (At the end of this)Ending Version 1 By ZoneEnding Version 2 By ZONEMight fish around for that Uran episode on the tasting thing in a while, see if I can find it x3.
