You know, while I still don't like people accusing one or the other of being a 'rip-off' and that it's just mere inspiration, I will say one more thing on the matter,

I am proud of what I support. Before I used to be so saddened of feeling like that no one was understanding where I was coming from or felt ignored. But as time passed, I came to realize that I am happy practically being the only one who respects both Atom AND Rockman for what they are. And I will gladly embrace and show this.

...So I drew that. A sort of a simple and 'friendly' crossover between the two...

Actually the actual inspiration for this was several official crossover/collaboration merchandise lines in Japan, featuring Atom with a character from another company. There's things such as "KITARO X ATOM", , "ATOM X MABUYA", and "ATOMUTAN" (Atom + Mutan). They're simple things too, but I also kinda like the concept behind these collaboration merchandise. So I tried to style this piece in the style of that.

It's also a slight tribute to Keiji Inafune, which you can see I styled Atom into his style. I really do like his art actually. I hope he's happier after leaving Capcom...

So, there you have it. I'm happier now of what I support. Say what you will, it won't make me feel otherwise and I'll still gladly flaunt it around until it becomes annoying. <_<

And I can understand getting angry at idiots who call your franchise something that isn't.

But why does it bother you so much when people insult Megaman for being a rip-off? Honestly, people are going to be stupid. Just let it go, it's getting annoying to see you get upset over nothing.

...Apparently you didn't noticed that I was going on that I felt happy being the only one on these forums (or so it seems) who does support this, and merely stated that I didn't felt bothered about it anymore. This thread wasn't another one of those rant threads, you know.

Dr. Jerk, right after I joined some forum, so nobody knew me, I got involved in a particular discussion. I was the only one who thought differently than the rest (and they were dozens), and people mocked me. But I thought I had good arguments and I was proud to defend them, too. I doubt I completely changed anybody's mind. In the end I did get a few "well, you do have a point" which made my day, but it was fun just to go against the flow anyway!

I say that the two have similair styles but different stories,nothing is original just similar

picture is adorable! and what you enjoy should be something to be proud of and if makes you happy then I find find no problem in it I think everyone is entitled to their own opinion and same is said yours

Ah, Dr. Jwrk, you have such a talented art style! Also, your colorations are great! I like the way you made Astro Boy and Rockman looking at each other- its so cool! Before I meet you, I used to think Rockman was a rip-off of Astro Boy, but I now know that they are just similar, not copies. :3 I'll have to look into Rockman some more. Capcom actually seems like a cool company. XD Anyways, great picture! Also, how did you draw this? Do you have a tablet?
