I have a "stupid" question to ask...


In the 2003 Astro Boy series, In the episode "Atlas" The Scene where Astro is having a flash-back of when him and "that dude" are in the 3-legged race, Who's "that dude" whose with him?

It seemed no matter how much I watched it, I didn't get it! So, I was hoping someone would know.

I was thinking either some kind of human babysitter or maybe someone from the ministry that was told to look after Tobio. That's a good question, but I don't think anyone would know.

I'm not sure. I haven't watched it for awhile but I think I do recall a scene where Astro and Dr. O'Shay (Elefun in the 1980 and 1960 series) are partaking in a three-legged race.

When I first saw the scene, I had two reactions as to who the guy was:

1) Tenma had sent/paid one of his colleagues to go play with Tobio
2) The guy was Tobio's teacher

It could easily be either one of these, since the guy knew Tobio well and by name. I'll have to review the scene again and study the dialogue to be sure.

maybe he is his baby sitter bcuz tenma was always busy...and that IS a good question bcuz i had to watch that over abnd over again

I watched this episode yesterday, and for some reason it never clicked that Tobio was with someone else in that three-legged race.

Anyway, in the Japanese subbed version, the second line the guy says is "Sensei is tired too." So he was probably a teacher of some kind to Tobio.

*GASP* What if its colbalt?!?!!? lol jk.
