Has anyone else wondered if this is a possibility?

I've tried to "Google up" the answer -- but it's probably something better asked in Japanese...

He would be perfect as the ever-hopeful emblem of overcoming adversity.

If I were able, I'd be tempted to make a AMV with him ( and maybe Uran and Cobalt -- like in that credit card mini-movie) showing their concern for their homeland, and inviting the world to come together to help Japan get back on thier feet.

Aside from him being the perfect ambassador ( :lol:

Ambassador Atom!), he would also help increase interest around the world for the manga, anime and movie.

Walt Disney Productions -- here's your chance to help "pay" for Kimba!!

What do you all think? Any of you who speak/read Japanese - any word on this becoming a reality?

There's so far no news on anything regarding any of Tezuka's characters helping with the disaster, else there would be news about it on ANN and TO.net.

The most that is happening are various manga-ka drawing pictures as condolences.

I don't think they're holding their own event or anything of the sort.

It just seems to indicate "Please help those in need."

I'm making small chibi Astro Boy plushies, and half of the profit I'm donating to help Japan. I want to donate all profit, but I need some money for the matireal to make the plushies. I'm putting my sewing to good use!
