Hello,
I'm trying to find some screenshots of inside Astro's chest from the 1980s. Does anyone have any that they would like to share? Or could you tell me some good episodes that I could watch so that I could take my own screenshots?

Thanks

Starlight :)

I'm thinking that there must be a close-up in that scene.

From Atlas Forever:

This is from the Red Cat, but it's upside down!

Thanks Astro Forever. Which part is his energy cassette? Is that the aqua coloured thing on the right hand side?

:D Ok. Do you mean because most people wouldn't know about things like that except fans?

Thanks for telling me, InsaneAstroBoyLover. I thought his energy cassette was bigger than that. What's the aqua-coloured thing? Is that a walkie-talkie? And is the part on the door how he tells if his energy is running out? The bit on the lower right hand side below the face on the screen?

You can see Astro put one in in Astro Fights Aliens or in The Crystal of the Desert (at least). It seems a little bit like a C battery to me.

As far as I know, we are never explained what it is.

In Atlas Forever, he has just been given an energy cassette. In the following screenshot, from Astro Fights Aliens, he was given an almost empty one:

So, either the energy cassette Elefun gave him in Atlas Forever was not full, and the energy remaining is the second column to the left, or it was full, and so the energy remaining is the first column to the left.

Thanks for explaining that, Astro Forever. I wonder what the thing is on the lower left hand side of the door. It looks like it could be a container for keeping things in, but resembles a coffee machine.

I also see that on the inside part of his chest, there are sockets for putting wires and cords into.

The 1980s version of Astro's chest compartment is a lot more complicated than the 2009 movie version.

The 2009 movie version just has the blue core with a circular section to keep it in, and a coil at the bottom. It is also smaller. So the glowing blue core is very impressive to look at, but less complicated.

Some members (including me) here have made funny assumptions over what was in Astro's chest door:

Too bad the images are missing, because there were visual "additions" by some members, I believe.

I agree that the 2009 movie version isn't nearly as intriguing.

Thanks for posting the link. Unfortunately all of the photos in that thread have been deleted. I saw a forum thread a couple of days ago where someone had changed a screenshot to show that Astro had a coffee machine inside his chest, but I can't remember where it was because I didn't save the link.
