Hey all!
I fooled around with WP lately and tried to turn an '03 series frame of Astro into a stereoscopic one.
If you view it the correct way, you should notice Astro getting set apart from the background.

It ought to work fine if you remain a clearance of approx. 50 cm between your eyes and the screen,
and let your eyes merge the two pictures into one.
Once you figure it out, it's pretty easy.

I tried and all I get is dizzy
I will keep at it once my headache goes away!

I can make 4 pics appear (very blurry) or 3, but not merge them into 1.

No headache here, but I do have a blurry vision now, haha! I used to be able to watch these, but I have a feeling that my glasses are too strong to allow me to see this one.

Try to relax your eyes, and look at the PC screen like you would stare into the void. Don't focus the both of your eyes on one point like when you read something, instead let your eyes find their individual point of focus.
The viewing method isn't easy to explain; it also requires a little practise.

Seeing 3 pics is a good starting point, so you're close to achieve the desired effect.
That said, everybody's eyes are different. Some people may remain having trouble to view stereo pics without the use of any special 3D-glasses, while others may recognize the 3D-effect in an instant.

Doing the whole 80's series probably would take me 10'000'000 years, thus I'm fine with doing a few single frames for the moment.

Some people may prefer the cross-eyed viewing method. For this, you need to save the pics above and exchange the frames' position (WindowsPaint will do) so that the left one becomes the right, and vice-versa. Have fun trying!

I've always used the cross-eyed method. This is the one I attempted yesterday. I think both can work for any picture, but with one you'll see the background sticking out instead of the foreground. At least that's what my book said many years ago.

I have quite a few problems with my eyes so I won't try very hard, but I have a feeling that the images are too spreaded out for me. I'll try reducing the size a little later today (as well as switching the positions at the same time). Should it work for me, although I'm not very confident, I'll post the result here. As DrFrag said in the other thread, it also depends of screen resolution/size.

Right, that's what happens if you view the pics above the cross-eyed way.

Not for me, it's working either way.
Although I agree that the size can be crucial. Perhaps the pics above are a little too wide indeed, but as I also suggested in the other thread, increasing the clearance between eyes/screen may be of help.
I don't think screen resolution matters a lot. As long as the pair of pics are somewhat of coherent in overlapping, the 3D effect will work out fine.
