Sorry if this is not technically a "discussion" although it can turn into one!

My 3 year old son and I enjoy watching the 2003 AstroBoy: The Complete Series. I want to utilize some of the catchphrases/sounds found in the show (most notably the "Let's Rocket!", "Scanning", "Cool your jets!", and the various sounds like Astro's jets, digibeam, and cannon.) to create a theme for my Android phone.

The problem is I cannot find any of those phrases in .wav, .ogg, or even .mp3 format. Does anyone know of any sources for these sounds? It would be MOST helpful.

I would be happy to post the theme here for use by anyone who may want it once done. If you have access to these sounds or any information, please feel free to post here or PM me.

Welcome to the forum LetsRocket! I'm glad that you and your son watch Astro, but I have no idea where to get the phrases your talking about, but I'm sure theres some other people on the forum that do

Thanks guys, hopefully someone has access to these sounds. I was thinking maybe someone, somewhere on the great wide Interwebz has ripped one of these DVD's and produced these sounds in SOME format. After all, the TV series aired over 8 years ago...

you could attach a microphone to your computer and record the sounds straight from your tv

You could get a splitter and hook up the audio to you computer and get those phrases and then convert them to the right file that you want. I can also do it for you if you would like I have a dazzle hooked up to my tv and I have the entire '03 series, so I could get any or all of the catchphrases that he says. PM me if you want me to do it for you and welcome to the forum

It might take a while to go through all 50 episodes, but I'm willing to do it if someone asks

That would be FANTASTIC! Thanks! Like I said, I mainly just want those things mentioned above (three catch phrases and the sounds for his weapons) but also any other sounds you think might be cool on an Astro Themed phone. By all means don't spend TOO much time on it, but thank you sooo sooo much for the effort, PM sent.

I'd love more Astro Boy WAV files too!
