astro boy or megaman?

so whats up forum? my sister was telling that like megaman was the same as astro!? is this true or is madness !? but if you had to diced who would you chose. i chose astro all the way but astro or serena is a hard one to chose!!!

I wanna say that although Megaman and Astro wasn't the same robot from A to Z, Keiji Inafune, the creator of megaman, made this role referring to Astro as a critical inspiration.In addition, Astro and Megaman shared a lot in common,for example,background information,theme clou, even some supporting role are similiar(for more information,watch the two manga by yourself.

I don't think Astroboy and Megaman would fight. They'd be buddies.



If they did fight, it'd be a close call. Especially because Megaman acquires the strength and weapons of previous enemies he's defeated.

I think of Megaman as a video game homage by Capcom to a genre which Astroboy starred, and Tezuka pioneered in comics and animation. Both have cute robots with arm cannons battling evil robots in the future to save mankind...and I don't see it as a coincidence.

I think one can enjoy both. I'm not the biggest Mega man nut but I just got into the series recently.

IMO I think the Megaman X series is better then the original series. I prefer X's, plot, and characters more in the X series better then the original. X is a better character in my eyes. I like him a lot better then the original Mega Man. But that's just my opinion.

I will disagree saying that megaman is the same as Astro. You can tell that Mega man was inspire by it but it's different. They both have there differences which is fine, but you can see the similarities.

Just to remind you guys, if something was inspired by something else that doesn't necessarily mean that the series is a rip off. I think some people on here don't get that when the topic of Mega man vs Astro comes up.

I haven't watched the Megaman anime's or played the games since when I was little so I can't really judge on that one. Although I might that series a try.

It was Capcom that made Megaman isn't it? o.o
