Astro Boy comes finally to Germany.

Postby Rick » 14 years ago

The Pluto mangas comes to germany, part for part. With the movie, Astro Boy has finally arrived in Germany. I hope that make him more famous in my land. :)
Unfortunately, only the famous animes are in Germany really popular.
Pokemon, Dragonball, Beyblade, Digimon and YuGiOh. I hope Astro Boy will soon belong to them. :astro:

I wound't count on it i mean the movie was released everywhere and Pluto is by many more considerd a Urasawa thing well he made it so you can't blame them.

Tezuka has a huge fanbase in France Italy and Spain and though Anime is a big thing in Germany just like the US only the popular (new) shonen stuff usally get's big am i right ?

If they would get the 80's Astro Boy on TV wich has already a Dub and also bring it out on DVD it might change but otherwise i don't see it happening.

But i noticed Kimba has somewhat of a big fanbase in Germany isn't it ?
Carlsen is going to rerelease the manga while they don't have plans for pouting out Astro Boy again.

Kimba? Yes, i grown up with him :) He is so cute as Astro Boy is. But Astro Boy was no part of my childhood. That is so bad. But i have found him. Better yet than ever, as they say in Germany. But Dragonball is was the first anime i have met. Than Pokemon, Digimon and last YuGiOh. Than, years after, i have see the Astro Boy movie. Why i have meet him so late? :astro: On Youtube i have found the german opening from the 80er serie. It is different like the american. I have translate it so you can read it. It goes something like this:

Here comes Astro Boy, faster as the light. Here comes Astro Boy, the bad guys see him not. Here comes Astro Boy, he flies only for you. Here comes Astro Boy. His eyes like flashes, see everything everywhere. Search every villain, on the earth and in the space. He fight with many power, is stronger as you think. That is Astro Boy, here comes Astro Boy. Mind like a knife, justice in the heart, is he with his seven powers where one he calls. He comes like a rocket, almost like nothing. That is Astro Boy, here comes Astro Boy. Here comes Astro Boy, faster as the light. Here comes Astro Boy, the bad guys see him not. Here comes Astro Boy, he flies only for you. Here comes Astro Boy. Astro Boy. :astro:

I have it translated literally. I hope good. :) Here is the intro: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjsbo1oHh-M

I think it's good, I liked it! :)

I remember that the german voice for the 80's Astro was done by Rubina Kuraoka. Her voice suited him very well.
