1981, and I can't stand children singing. So my vote goes to the English version. Why? Well, I love the funky guitar solo at the end. True Blue gets second place and the English opening gets third for its condition of being THE FIRST MODERN ANIME OPENING. It was adopted by Mushi from the USA. The original one was an instrumental.

I voted for the original Japanese 80's opening, as it's very happy and up-beat.
The french 80's opening would come as a close 2nd, and the german one would probably file at the end of my list (sorry Rick!). :lol:

I actually liked the american 2003 series opening when I first watched the '03 series, but later on I decided to check out the 2003 japaese series opening since it was in the suggestion box on youtube and I wound up liking that a lot better and now I just skip the english intro.

Voted for the Japanese '80s opening because I like the sound of the song and it's funky bass in the song. Gotta love the soft rock sound to it.

Wow, I forgot that they made a second opening. I would vote for the second Japanese 2003 series opening, if somebody put it in there and I'm not going to name any names *cough*AB03*cough**cough*, but I guess I'll just stick to what I voted for.

I agree the Japanese 80s opening was good too and it would be my second choice.

I like them all. I can't decide. True Blue is probably the coolest, and I feel nostalgic of the 80's English version. If I could add some lyrics to the 2003 English one, it would make a much better theme song.
