Just thought you guys would like to see this. In 1978, a Japanese company published what were called "Roman Albums". These featured a complete history of a particular show. "Roman Album #7" featured "Memories of Mighty Atom". Along with a complete series episode guide, it showcased certain episodes in color. What was interesting about the color scenes was that Atom, [along with other characters (like Uran(ium) and Bem(u),] was given blue eyes. Scene one is from the cover. Scene two featured Atom looking at Lodar from the B/W episode, "Grass Boy". (Unfortunately I decided not to scan the other page where you can see Lodar, well because I was already taking a chance scanning the page with Atom looking at Lodar & risking damage to the book.) Any way this is for fans of "Atom Blue Eyes"!

This was before the '80s series came out, so maybe they thought Atom did have blue eyes? Or maybe they still had Jetter Mars on the brain since that series had just come out?
Either way, I definitely like Atom with blue eyes. It's a different, but interesting take on Atom in my opinion.

Good one, Dragonrider 1227!
But honestly, he is looking lovingly at Violet (aka Lodar) aka the Girl from Alsoar in her plant guise, I swear! Unfortunately I was reluctant to scan the other page due to the age and condition of the book!
Any way I think Shiyonasan has a point!
Maybe its only weird because everyone has gotten used to the brown-eyed Atom. Maybe if it was always blue eyes, it won't be so...well...unusual. In fact, he kinda looks not too bad that way.
