Hello,

What is the Japanese name of the lady in ep.36 2003, known as Brianna in the English dub?

I do not remember the 2003 Astroboy cartoon very well, so I looked up episode 36 (恋するロボット koisuru robotto) on the Japanese Tezuka website. The small blurb on their site for that episode has a sentence that says "アトムはロクサーヌに恋をしてしまったらしい". My Japanese is very poor, but it says something like Atom falls in love with Roxanne (Rokusaanu). Is that the girl you want to know the name of? Her name is mentioned many times through out the blurb.

AstroBoy03: sorry, my mistake! Just clicked the button in the wrong window. Would welcome a move by Mods.

Satus: THANKS! This makes a lot of sense. The plot is based on the play "Cyrano de Bergerac" by Edmond Rostand. The woman there is named Roxanne.

I wonder why the English dub changed the name - apparently just to make her Irish. Together with the newcomer "Dr. O'Shea", there seems to have been an Irish plot somewhere in management ;)

I wondered why it was in the wrong section too, thinking "is this for a project?" Haha.

You're welcome, I'm glad I helped in some way. That name change theory is interesting.

Aha, I know why I asked it here! Typical Freudian slip.

I see all of Astro'2003 as fan fiction. Official animated fan fiction.
