STARRING "ASTRO GIRL"!

The following pictures are from a Japanese storybook published by Mushi Prod. back in the 1960s based on the original Astro Boy animated series. It is the only time as far as I know that Astro Girl (aka Uran aka Urania aka Sarah aka Zoran aka Oran aka Uranie) was featured as the star of her own adventure. Its title is "The Tale of the Green Princess"! In it, Astro Girl is asked to and does take the place of the Green Princess whom she resembles, in order to protect the princess' kingdom from attack, while the princess hibernates. I am not sure which episode the story is based on. Probably one of the 89 not dubbed into English. So, enjoy! Your comments are welcome!

Aw, this book is really cute. It's nice to see Uran get her own illustrated adventure.
How rare is the book? I'd love to read it.

This is WONDERFUL!!! Hmmm . . . I like how nobody noticed that Uran's hair is BLACK not GREEN, and I wonder, Astrobuddy, did they ever indicate WHY she was hibernating? Did it seem to serve a purpose.
And then there's Astro, all stylin' in his fancy clothes and green cape - what's up with that? It's like HE rescued the princess and now he's being cheered by the crowd, whilst holding the Green Princess' hands. Hmmm . . . another one of his "ladies?" XD
I would love to collect these - how did you find it? I need a connection in Japan!!!
