Characters in Pluto Manga/Movie

I found the characters in the pluto manga (apart from Mt Blanc, North 2, and Pluto) completely indistinguishable from the surrounding human characters. Wonder if they'll take that same approach with the film.

Let's hope they do. It helps raise the stakes because we buy that these characters are more human than robot, but it also brings up the idea of just how advanced technology has become.

I hope so, too, because I think that's the path we're on, and I think that was Tezuka's intention with Astro - being so life-like as to take Tobio's place.

I like the idea of the robots having "work bodies" and "off-hour bodies" too. They've really become sentient beings - but the humans haven't embraced them as such. I CAN'T WAIT to see Atom as a little boy with real hair that curls up into it's own "spikes!"
