So how about talking about the villains which appeared in that series?
I even forgot of villains like the "Dark Girls" who look like evil versions of Totally Spies, but with a completely different concept.

The villain in the 2nd episode featuring the princess is played by Hyakamaru's elder brother. Sorry, for the brevity, but my fingers are numb.

Personally, I've never understood why they didn't do anything else with Kato. I mean yes, he's a reworking of the Rainbow Parakeet. But they reworked him into such an interesting, deliciously evil villain it's hard not to like him.

As I said in my review, artistic terrorists are far and few in between your standard terrorists. And if Kato had shown up just a few times more (as his own villain), I think we could've gotten some interesting filler episodes out of it. Heck, maybe he could have teamed up with Tenma for an episode....Actually, now that I think about it, that would have been awesome!

Perhaps, but there were already several villains who made repeat appearances. Trying to put to much into a series can be just as bad as too little.

Very true, I just feel that because Kato was such a fascinating villain, that he could have been used in place of some other villains like the Dark Girls. But, you can't get everything you want, right?

We had that jerk named Katari who tricked Mimi from the robot farm and also tried to trap Uran inside the Pterosaur Robot in order to make Atom unable to take it down, so the people would hate AI robots.
Funny is the fact that nobody noticed that Pterosaur Robot had no AI at all.
In the mangá of Akira Himekawa, Katari kills Daichi personally.

I think Skunk appeared too often, the authorities ability to keep him in prison was rather lacking. I cannot say more without looking at my notes for the series, but it seems to have been influenced by the Batman/Superman/American super heroes etc. series, as there were only so many villains, & script writers liked using old ones repeatedly instead of making new ones every time. When the Joker or whichever one made another appearance, we knew we would enjoy the show.

I remember the old 1960s Batman series; as a kid, none of the guest stars who portrayed the villain meant anything to me, but now, I have become fond of them, Especially Burgess Merideth as the Penguin. :p I loved his every Twilight Zone appearance!

Toshio: I found the new roles of certain characters in that 2003 manga rather refreshing. The placing of Katari in other stories was great.

I agree with that. I think I read in a Rainbow Parakeet (Kato) summary somewhere that he is a 'master of disguise' (or good at acting...something like that); that could have made a really interesting plot point.

I'm planning to add Katari as a terrorist and executioner from the group KR in my fanfics.
I like the idea of Kato being a terrorist, but I was thinking about adding the fact he was originally a private eye who got mutilated by a rampaging robot, so he joined KR as their enforcer in order to destroy anything related to AI robots.
Also, there was a character who looked like Saturn or Satan from "Robot Land", but in human form.
I wonder what was his name.

He can stretch his putty-like face into just about any shape. He portrayed the Sherlock Holmes robot in the 1980s MIGHTY ATOM series, & used this ability often.

He is one of Tezuka's stars, so it is no surprise he has human roles.
