dannavy is saying that humanoid robots are getting closer to resembling Astro. Not only that, they are interacting with humans in a more complex way.

It looks like something from Sonic: The Hedgehog robot line to be honest.
Althout, I can see the red boots.
It still feels random to be here. The base of the android's design was not reffered for what I read.

Japan to send mini robot to the ISS by mid 2013 (gizmag)
MODS might merge the two.
