So, yesterday I was tooling around the Internet, poking around places like Amazon and Dark Horse, and looking at all the neat stuff I'm never gonna be able to buy. (Including Hyrule Historia, from Dark Horse, but that's an unrelated matter.)

After a while, I decided to search for a place where I could read Astro Boy- more specifically, Volume 9, of the original series.

As luck would have it, I DID find such a place. So I sifted around, found the story "Cobalt", and proceeded to read it. When I was finished, I poked at one or two of the other volumes, but they didn't seem to have all of them (and the last one they had, wasn't entirely there). So I abandonded the site, having already gotten what I came for.

Later that night, though, something began to bother me. I was (and still am) pretty sure that what I had done was illegal. It's not as though I haven't done it before; but those times, they were either fan-translated, most of the time with no official English release (one exception was Yu-Gi-Oh!; but I think that the scanlation came from Canada); or, in the case of Astro Boy/Tetsuwan Atom, there was no official English release stateside.

The problem that was bugging me here was, there IS an official English release of this stateside; in fact, that was what I was just reading. Now I feel incredibly guilty and cheap.

I dunno what I should do now. I'm afraid to mention the name of the site, for fear of getting in trouble here, but... They had a lot of other Tezuka manga, too. Some of which had (and some of which were) official English releases. Should I report them, or something? I mean, sure, a lot of the Astro Boy manga is out of print now; but Volume 9 isn't one of them, so there's no excuse. It just doesn't sit in my stomach the right way... what should I do?
