I saw a live video feed last year (well, almost live any way, it was like watching paint dry most of the time) from a Tokyo shopping mall where they were having this robot marathon for walking robots. Most of them were only a foot or two tall and kept falling over or walking out of the defined course. Most looked like crude 'rock-em-sock-em' robots. This being in Japan I was kinda expecting to see a model Atom going though the course. Boy was I ever disapointed...... I wonder if this contest will be an annual thing, maybe there will be hope for the next running.
