Uran vanishing from several episodes or mangá chapters?

I was thinking about the final episodes of the 1980 series and I noticed that Uran disappeared completely from the story after episode 49.

Don't you fit it awful?

Although, her appearence was quite rare in the 2003 series, she was still plot relevant in the final episodes which made her pretty touching.

But, I do not understand why the 2003 mangá had to make her disappear entirelly during the final chapters.

She wasn't even celebrating with Atom when the mangá ended and it even gave the idea that she doesn't existed O_o

They could have shown her at the Science Ministry and having concern about the stolen blueprints and as well when Atom said about what happened during his mission and as well what she would think about Atom's decision of having Nuka's legs.

But, I think that she should still respectfull about his decision too.

It would touching if she appeared and conforting Atom about his loss as well.

Too bad they don't tried that and she just vanished...
