Has astro boy ever reminded you of....

I think he looks like a mini super man in the movie some what, I also think their clothes are quite similiar in a sense. Astro's even got a spike and black hair giving him a super man look

hmmm he does the same "flight pose" ... SM has blue eyes though (guess it depends on which version). Just add a cape (and Tezuka did put a cape on him in one manga).
Someplace on here is a picture of Astro in a Super Man outfit - drawn by Tezuka. If I can find it I'll repost it here!

Jetter Mars had a cape. I think Atom did in the weird redux Tezuka did when he was also drawn with nipples.

Yeah, I can see where you're coming from. The resemblance is certainly there.
In his normal outfit, he also wears red boots and wears shorts/tights (don't know what you would call it) like Superman.

I believe that Atom is the earliest example of anime character.
So, there are a lot of characters who reminds of him instead nowadays.
Anyone in my country could have said Jetter Mars, but Atom came first, lol
In my country Jetter Mars broadcasting was sold to TV Record in 1983, so brazilians got him instead of Atom, lol

That's great! Where did you ever find that? I think he should have drawn Blackjack as Batman (or maybe even the Green Hornet), that would suit his personality better. Rock as superman? Rock would make a good 'Robin'. Pinoko as Wonder Woman is great (But he should have also drawn Uran in that character!). While we're at it make Lamp be Lex Luther, and Skunk as the Joker.

I think I saw it here - back several years ago - and downloaded the image because it was so incredibly cool!
Wouldn't it have been amazing if Tezuka did a DC comic story utilizing his Star System characters in various roles, as you suggest? Talk about the ultimate crossover!!!
If I could only draw that well....

LOL! For some reason I could see Hyo saying "I'm Batman." in that picture.
If you want to know what I think for some reason Toby, especially in the 80's series, reminded me of Ash from Pokemon, I mean his hairstyle and hat and stuff. I can understand if Ash got his design from Toby.
