Astro, Atlas and Jetter?

I'm writing a fan fiction for fanfiction.net where Astro, Atlas and Jetter Mars will be involved.

I always write Astro and Atlas as having a combative rival relationship with Atlas holding a begruding sort of Brother-like overwatch because he worries Astro is to naive, lame and human loving to be a true benefit to robots. Meanwhile Astro is trying to keep Atlas from doing crazy, stupid things because of his rabid dislike of humans.

Now enter Jetter from Tokyo, who's a younger version of Astro and is so cheery, outgoing, friendly, positive and fearless that could actually cause Atlas to vomit...

"Oh great...here comes the other half of the book ends in a dog kennel." Atlas snorts.

"Hi!" Jetter says as he lands and waves. "Atlas, you're just as pleasent as always."

"Don't remind him." Astro said smiling. "I didn't tell him you were coming."

"That's being inconsiderate." Jetter said as he folded his arms. "We should give Atlas as much time as possible to adjust."

"How about I adjust the two of you into a single ball of melted steel? It might improve things around here." Atlas snorts as he walks off.

"He's really happy to see you here Jetter." Astro said. "We need the extra hands."

"Mmmm..." Jetter replied as he nodded. "I'll "try" to tone down my cheery appearance so we don't drown him in frustration and he nukes all of Kanto."

What do you think? How would these three act together?

YESSSSS!!! I think it will be BRILLIANT!!

But doesn't Mars sometimes get "POed" and rebellious? Isn't he kind of a "loose cannon" somewhere between Atlas and Astro? That could also be a real hoot . . . or maybe he's in the position to play A & A off of each other?

There's so many ways to develop this, but I'm confident you'll do a great job!

That might be interesting...make him an irritant to both Atlas and Astro? Maybe Jetter will try to upstage both of them that it actually makes problems worse?

It's Mars, not Jetter. Same as Atom, not Tetsuwan.

See, I'm confused about that - I see people call him "both" - but the Japanese style is last-name-first, right? Hmmm . . .

Calling Mars “Jetter” is a common mistake made mostly by people who are new to the series. Mars is his actual name. Mars’s father, Dr. Yamanoue, named him after the Roman God of War. In the show everyone calls him Mars.

Jetter isn't his last name either. Jetter is more like a “title” in the same way Tetsuwan is to Atom.

I've often use "Jetter Mars" in his text dialogue just to make people know that is the titular character.
Though he may mainly be refered as just Mars.

Atlas just calls him..."Oh great. Another pain in my butt."

Especially amusing because Mars HAS no Jets. Hmmm . . . does that make him more advanced than Astro? Does Astro want to lose the firey feet and don the "cape of flight?"
