hi there~~!

can anyone, off the top of their head, recall any instances of any characters vomiting, being nauseated or being generally ill in the 60's/80's astro boy? (: just curious as to if anyone remembers anything. id appreciate it a lot!! thank you thank you!!!

I don't recall but I think there was an episode where astro watched someone die from illness in the 80s I think. Sorry I haven't watchede that series in a long while, nor have I even watched the 60s

I'm sure I saw instances of that here and there - but nothing graphic (thank goodness . . . who needs to see THAT?). It's just usually indicated with swirly lines, stars and a dizzy expression on the character's face. I don't believe Astro ever suffered from it though

I think he was shown like that in a few episodes wherever he had just been hit by a ray gun or was critically low on energy.

In #125, Find the Bacteria one of the 'lost' episodes, an entire town is afflicted with some illness, & Ochanomizu sends Atom & a lovely young nurse out to inoculate the townspeople, but the sickness itself makes them unwilling to take the medicine. I was going to make a thread about that episode, until I realized I had no names for any characters yet.

I cannot comment on the nature of the illness, other than the little that is written in the website's synopsis for it:

Introduction:A petri dish containing the bacteria of a dreadful infectious disease is lost by a simple mistake. In order to protect humans from the danger of biohazard, Atom flies off to the depths of the Himalayas following the trail of the bacteria.

oh my, this is exactly what i was referring to, if no graphic vomit then the way the nausea is depicted. id be super duper grateful for an example if ya remember anything in particular<3!

I should have recalled that this was probably in the PHOTOSHOP GAME thread; I do not think any such thing exists in the actual animated series. There probably is an instance of farting, oh yes, it is in GIANT URAN! anyway, there may be another in the 1ST GRADE MANGA series. check the thread!
