Astro Boy 2009- Early Concepts

I'm trying to find images of some of the earliest concept images for the movie adaptation of Astro Boy; mainly, early concepts, designs, and artwork of the title character himself, as well as early concepts for the plot of the film (which I understand is very different from the final product). The reason is mostly out of curiosity; but if anyone else could find this information useful for any reason, such as archival and such, then I can easily see the collective gathering of this info as potentially beneficial to multiple parties. I may go back in a second to dredge up all of the stuff I just found to put on here for everyone to see (whatever links of it I found that worked for me, anyways).

I know Alittleacorn had at least one thread where she had uncovered developmental artwork - I remember one image in particular with Astro - still 3-D but looking younger and a bit more like his anime image.

Try searching her threads - and / or back in 2010 when we were talking about the movie almost constantly (I can't search right now, but will try if I get a chance later)

I found the original group thread for discussion of the movie through an image search; many of the earlier images have been removed, though. I wonder if any of those older users still have them? The problem with that is, they're no longer around to ask about it. Hrm...

I also remember Acorn posting a lot of early demo animations and videos. I would very much like to see those, too... I wonder how far along they were in development when they debuted that clip at ComicCon in 2008; the one where he only has one cannon, and is about to get stomped: it matches up visually with the first ever screen cap of the movie, before everything was changed. That clip was debuted after they had already changed directors, which suggests that they already had the ball rolling before Bowers decided to change a few things (that he really ought to have left well enough alone, IMO).

EDIT: Kay so, I found this:

I can't find the rest of the stuff Alittleacorn posted a long time ago- nothing I haven't already seen, anyways. I think she used to have the full version of a lot of early test animations, though... like the one with the piano... O_O
