CD Japan just sent an email about it. $200 per each of 2 26 episode sets.

set #1

Set #2

I suppose Amazon ...Jp should also have it. I found the details rather sparse; hope Amazon has a better description. Yet, I have only DVD player.

edit: Amazon wants about Y4,000 less than CD Japan: http://www.amazon.co.jp/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?__mk_ja_JP=%E3%82%AB%E3%82%BF%E3%82%AB%E3%83%8A&url=search-alias%3Ddvd&field-keywords=%E6%97%A5%E6%9C%AC%E8%AA%9E%E3%82%BF%E3%82%A4%E3%83%88%E3%83%AB%3A+%E3%82%AA%E3%83%AA%E3%82%B8%E3%83%8A%E3%83%AB+%E3%82%AB%E3%83%A9%E3%83%BC%E7%89%88%E3%80%8C%E9%89%84%E8%85%95%E3%82%A2%E3%83%88%E3%83%A0%E3%80%8DBlu-ray+Special+Box+%E4%B8%8A%E5%B7%BB+%5B%E6%9C%9F%E9%96%93%E9%99%90%E5%AE%9A%E7%94%9F%E7%94%A3%E7%89%88%5D%2F+%E3%82%A2%E3%83%8B%E3%83%A1
note that these two sets should be at the bottom of the page.

I've already asked Anime Sols to crowdfund a US release with subtitles. Highly suggest everyone does the same. Dub only is no good.

I'd like to see them do BOTH the 1980 AND 2003 series as subs. Also include Eternal boy episode and if Disney isn't happy with that they will remind them about Lion King!

Did I find a treasure or something because the 1980s DVD set I have has the Japanese Dub with subtitles. Though most everyone seems to complain that their sets only have the English track.

I'm a little confused.

Well yes, the DVDs had subs, so that's why it's so treacherous of them not to include them in these Blu-ray sets. But if Anime Sols makes their own release, not only could we get the subs, but it'd come to about twice cheaper as well.

Ah, I get it now.

I hope Anime Sols will one day, $200 per set is a little steep.

I have little confidence in ANIME SOLS, as it goes about raising funds on its own, rather than using KICKSTARTER. Am I missing something? Is there a good reason why they do not?

Here is the most detailed answer to your question straight from the horse's mouth.

I don't see any reason not to have confidence in them. If they can successfully fund Black Jack and Creamy Mami shows, I'm sure they'll have no problem with any Astro Boy anime. And their userbase can only get larger as time goes on. We'll be sure to see anime titles even from other companies than its associated partners at some point.

Yup, it happened when the goal was reached.
