Reno

I've always been a fan of some of the more obscure characters in the series I watch, as such I am fond of Reno. But I wanted to know if Reno was ever in the manga (I am missing some novels)?

Also, does anyone in their own little fan-world of Astro Boy count Reno as an adoptive brother?

Any other discussions about this red-head?

Nope, Reno is a character exclusive to the 2003 series.

I'm pretty sure a lot of fans think of Reno as an adoptive brother, if ff.net is any indication.

Reno is in the third party three volume Manga based on the 2003 anime series. He is also featured in various fan fiction stories, particularly those written by Dan Rush (DanNavy85). Dan has him as a cross between Astro's human half brother, best friend, and the guy that puts him back together after a fight with Atlas.

Earthshine, is that your drawing of Reno? Nice!

It's not my picture, but I thought it was cute since I hardly ever seem to see art for him or much literature on him as well. Then again I have not been to FF.net for a long time except for fiction that has been linked here.

Thanks for the info, anime exclusive characters are interesting.

I actually do think reno is an interesting topic, I actually think of reno as a brother to Astro in a sense, but just adoptive :)

And Ochanomizu gets a new kid to look after! He went on vacation and instead of bringing home a tan he brought back a genius child. XD

As if Ochanomizu does not have enough to do with the ministry of science, and now those two kids. He never gets a break. :) It does sound interesting though. Have not thought of that one.

Three kids actually; Reno, Astro, and Uran. Plus in my head canon there is also Cobalt!

He just loves kids I guess. He's like Bruce Wayne without the tragic back-story and the vigilante bit. I also am a bit obsessed with single-fathers in media which also makes me think on Ochanomizu frequently.
